Bta hiding under rocks

I have a large bta that seemed happy in his spot (only had him a week). This morning he was missing. After moving rocks I found him in the bottom rear of the tank under the rock work. I thought maybe he floated around and got stuck and tried to left him out but seems attached to something. Should I just let him be? He is not getting any light where he is now.

Just let him be. He will come out when the time is right.

Guess who came back out. If he keeps moving I'll pull him out and trade him in. Kind of a pain having to keep the other coral out if the way.

My btas dont usually move more than an 1" from their spot. Usually once they find a spot they like they dont wander to far unless things change.

Nice anemone though

Don't worry , it's normal for anemone to move around the rock till find a good spot. Mine , did that when I introduced to my tank.

Give it time , and it should be Okay

I'm having the same issue right, redid some rock work and found the RBTA underneath one of the overhangs in the rockwork, he's been that way for 2 days now, hoping he'll come out when he wants some lighting.

Same issue, hiding under a rock and deflated, completely closed up at night (looks like a nub). I'm resisting the urge to move him, but my question is - what/how often should I feed him until he comes out? Thanks!

You don't need to feed him, just let him get over it and it will come out on its own.

It's been almost 2 weeks. How long do I have before he dies?

Didn't know it was that long. Well it's probably time to change it. Is he on a rock? If so flip it around so he is in the light but keeping the rock low to the sand bed.

I think the problem with him staying there is you said you were feeding him. Of course it's not going to move. Do like I suggested and turn the rock around and before it starts moving feed it to see if it will stay put

Thanks, I took your advice and he actually opened up and bubbled up perfectly! Too crazy. Since then he's moved more out of the light but that's fine. At night he's still completely retracted though (looks like a ball), does that indicate he's still stressed?
