Heaters

Need new heaters for the 150g rebuild. This time I want them in the sump instead of the DT. Like Jager glass, but they are too long for the sump. I'm using Apex controller, so I want to integrate heating control with it. Any recommendations as for as two heaters for a 150g?

I'm using two of these in my 120g build: http://www.finnex.net/index.php/hmo-..._store=default (200w version).

As far as apex integration - I just have them connected to an EB8. I have the EB8 outlet's control type set to "heater". Fallback is OFF, Probe is obviously the temp probe. The on and off temps are set to 77.8 and 78.8. The heaters also have controllers. One is set to 79 and the other is 78. They just get powered completely off when the apex see's the sump temp between 77.8 and 78.8.

May try one of those. Read some bad reviews, but really not enough to make a decision one way or the other.

I run Cobalt heaters. Never had an issue with them. Are accurate within 1 degree too.

Jager glass heaters on apex. I like glass, it makes it easier to check them once in a while for condensation.

I like Jager heaters, but the size Jagers I need for the tank are too long to fit in sump. I use a couple of 8 yrs+ old Jagers in my water mixing station.

How big is the sump area you have to work with ?
If I wasn't running jagger I would go with the finnex.

I am using a finnex for the same reason. The Jager was just too long for the area I wanted to put it in.
