Anemone
This fellow deflated within 24 hours of placement in water, after 5 weeks in a couple days, this is about the biggest he has opened up, although he closes rather quickly.
Not sure what is going on with him? For reference, the pictured size is between a half-dollar and silver dollar size. |

Welcome!
Start with your water params. Your light probably isn't sufficient for a nem as well.

Unfortunately your lighting isn't good enough for an anemone. You'll need to upgrade that. A AI Prime would be sufficient.

I agree on the lighting, plus nems do much better in a mature tank. some say six months while others say a year. I recently added a carpet after two years.

+1 if you're going to be keeping much coral, look at upgrading the lights.

Vermitid snail is the tube, this would be confirmed if you ever see a long spider web looking thing coming out of it. Harmless filter feeder but can quickly over on a tank and irritate coral. The fuzz does look like a sponge. Again usually harmless. +1 to upgrading your lights, +1 to needing a more mature tank for an anemone . welcome. Ask away

Thank you for your responses, the tube is not hard. Bummer on the lights, the guy at the store sold me this unit for a replacement of the hood light that came with the tank.
So what are the options for ideal lighting for this tank? What am I looking for in an upgraded light. I spent two hundred bucks on this light and it claims this: Current USA Orbit Marine LED Saltwater reef lighting system 2nd Generation High PAR Orbit - Grow SPS, LPS, Clams Programmable 24 hour on and off ramping simulates sunrise, sunset and moonlight Adjustable daylight and moonlight color and intensity Four dynamic effects and presets including cloud cover, fading lunar and storm with lightning Wireless IR remote and new controller mounting system I want to stay with LED, is this certainly is a let down, these lights seem brighter than the ones in the store and I know the anemone was there for at least two weeks. Don't do the Current USA... I used them for about a minute on our shallow frag tank.
I'd go with: - AI Prime - Kessil A160WE - eBay 165watt Dimmable Full Spectrum LED
