Never a stupid question, so ask away

I should also state if you change the membrane to a diffrent gpd one make sure you get a flow restrictor to match the new membrane.

Good luck

A triple is best but i use the double. You will first want to check the tds of your tap water, after you know the tap water tds then place one of the probes after the membrane but before the di stage, and place the 2nd probe after the di stage.

So what do you know about Apex controllers. And what setup would be your preferred list of equipment? And do a no holds set up?

I know nothing about the apex or any controller. Im old school so i dont trust haveing 1 contoller to run my tank. But alot of people do like them.

I like to have seperate controllers for each item. For heaters i have a ranco. Tunze for my auto top off and plain timers for my lights.

For my powerheads i use tunze 6000's, yes their old but for a pump that has been running for 10 years to me they were well worth it.

For skimmer i use a mrc mr2 but will be changeing to a lifereef skimmer.

And lights i use mh's with vho's for dusk dawn effect. You cant beat the light mh's give out with the shimmer. There are some nice tanks with led's but to me the light doesnt match mh's.
