Disabling NightTime mode on my Vortechs
When I unplug my vortechs, the nighttime mode goes away for a few minutes. Then it resumes this mode, I would like to disable this mode permanently. These units are Mp40es models. Thanks.

Have you tried resetting them? A reset back to factory defaults should disable it.

That's not a reset. A reset involves wiping all settings including what mode it is currently in and any wireless connections it has. Cycling power isn't the same thing.

My nighttime mode resets every time i have a power outage. In other words, if i experience a power outage, my nighttime mode is reset, gone, no longer set. I have no nighttime mode. I have to enable it again. True story, it is what happens to my MP40. The OP was asking why his night mode doesn't stay reset like it's supposed to. I think he needs a firmware update maybe? And this is from the manual. Night Mode Your EcoSmart driver gives you the ability to have a slower pump speed at specified times. Night mode is used to change the speed of the pumps at a certain time in the evening and resume normal operation at a specific time in the morning. When entered in Night Mode, the pump will slow the speed to a set percentage of the max speed of the mode you currently are in. The pump will stay in this mode for a specified time. The first time you use night mode, you must tell it when to go into Night Mode. You do this by pressing and holding both Mode and Set and then pressing and holding Mode and Set again. If you remove power to your Vortech driver, you must tell it again when to go into Night Mode.See section 4.5: Configuration Mode, for instructions on how to do this. |

Normally mine don't go back into Night Mode after I cut the power to them. You may have to do a hard/factory reset to clear it.

Just got off the phone with EcoTech. They suggested to do a soft reset to get away from the master slave relationship between the two, then a hard reset. I think my
Vortechs are not cancelling because of the relationship between the two. Thanks everyone! |

Actually I posted about this in the eco tech forum but didn't get an answer.
When I set night mode, it will go into night mode and come out after specified time ... But the next night it won't automatically go back into night mode. What am I doing wrong here? |

EcoTech advice did not work. I have pulled the power to the drivers, soft reset, and hard reset. It just won't go away.

Iam not for sure what buttons I pushed to program night mode, since I done that some time ago. I pushed mode & set, got a red, white blue color. Then I pushed the mode button got a red & purple, then set button. Same sequence for hard reset except mode & power to reset.

You have to wait until the exact time that you want to start night mode. Then hold mode and set at the same time until the controller starts blinking red white and blue. Once this happens you then have to hold mode and set again until it starts breathing white.

Then the next day you don't get the breathe white at the same time? Are you experiencing any power loss? Power loss resets night mode (disables it). Try asking in the Ecotech forum. |
