Kore 5th Doser vs. the others
Looking for recommendations to replace my bubble magus doser. Have not had good luck with my BM staying accurate. Looked at the Kore 5th from a distance and it looks very appealing. I do want something that is programmable to dose my 2 part and possibly some additives for sps. Any experience with the Kore 5? Heard there might be some programming issues? What about dosing reliability? What other programmable dosers would you recommend. Thanks for your input.

I've had my Kore 5th for about 1.5 years now. Dosing has been spot on the whole time. I just started using the ATO about 6 months ago but its been rock solid as well. I'm only using 3 channels for dosing and the ATO but it can do 5 channels and ATO out of the box. Auto water changes can also be done but require 2 of the 5 channels and possibly a couple of dc pumps (not sure though, dosing pump heads might act as pumps for AWC).
The software to program the doser definitely isn't the cleanest or smoothest running but it is simple and intuitive to use in my opinion. |

I'm a fan of the Kore 5th as well and have great results. There were some threads about issues at the beginning, but Pacific Sun worked them immediately. They are very responsive and work on issues quickly. The dodger is spot on for me too, and I love the ATO function as well. I dose alk, ca, vodka, and acropower right now. Love it.

Does it have to be a stand alone doser? I've had good success with drew's dosers hooked up to my RKE and now my apex.

If you're just dosing Alk and Ca, you'll need two individual dosers like the Drew's doser
http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-dr...sing-pump.html or a BRS doser http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/brs-2-...er-minute.html as well as two open outlets on your EB8. You can the program the doser to turn on for X amount of minutes X number of times per day. If you decide to go this route, there are tons of people, including myself, that can help you with the code. Or this could be another option, the Neptune Dos http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/dos-do...e-systems.html I have no experience with the DOS but from what I've read, it's pretty much plug and play, just need to have the latest firmware for your apex.

I also have the Kore 5th. Excellent product...
I will have it connected to the APEX but as a failsafe just in case my PH gets to high from the ALK dosing or the ATO with Kalk. The only downside of this is that you will not have any type of dosing until you get home and investigate what was the culprit. Hope that helps

Kore 5th has been reliable for me For the past few months. Great warranty, high quality construction and easy to mount in any configuration.

I've used an Aqua-Trend Doser One Evolution for about 5 years now and it's been awesome. Had one pump go bad and they sent me a replacement unit while they fixed mine for free. Can't beat that nowadays!! It's easy to program, easy to calibrate and always performed perfectly. Also not as pricey as the Kore 5th.

I got mine from the USA reseller, not sure if thats an option right now or if you need to get it direct from Europe. Either way, they'd make it happen and if you did decide to get one I'm sure you would be happy with it.

I read somewhere that it can be bridged to wifi instead of the Bluetooth connection. Can someone shed some light on it?
