Kessil gooseneck with screen top?

Does anyone have any solutions for using the Kessil Goosenecks on a rimmed tank (125g RR Marineland Perfecto) with screen top covers? Can't figure out how to work around the gooseneck's thumb screw clamp to get the screens to fit back in on the black trim lip.

You will probably have to cut the screen top to fit

I'm going to be building my screen over the weekend. I have clips that go on the edge of the tank so my screen with sit flush with the top. Since I'll be at the same level as the light clamps I'm going to have a 3/4" gap along the rear of the tank. Not ideal but not terribly bad either plus it'll leave room for my powerhead cord.

I actually did this last night on my 180. I will try and post a few pictures once I am home. I basically cut the frame of the top on the backside so there is a gap for the light clamp and mounted the mesh like normal. The mesh easily pushes in front of the clamp. It makes the frame of the cover so super firm but wedges into place nicely. I was overall happy with how it turned out. I didn't want any gap at all for my wrasses to find one day when I wasn't around.

You can cut 3/8" acrylic to make a bracket that fits around obstructions. I hot glued the bird's netting to the bracket.
