Got a small gorilla crab, how do I kill it instantly?
I see the crab sitting in a hole, it's about 1cm in size and looks like a nasty gorilla crab. How can I instantly kill it or get it out.
Can I kill it with boiling water or will it survive? I can see where it lives, but won't be able to take or move rocks. Will squirting boiling water work or do I need to use force? |

I ambush them at night with a pair of fine point tweezers.

Shot glass w/ some food in the bottom. Works great.

Boiling water then butter to dip the meat in...
The trap is the easiest way IMO

If it's not too late, I'd be happy to take it as I have no corals in my tank and if it gets out of line, the large hermit crabs will take it on.

Stab the thing and take it out piece by piece with a tweezers. Dig until you get it all. Not sure how to use a trap, so I would just grab and pull.

I set a trap and placed some scallop inside. He never moved, he's just sitting 2cm away from the entrance and now he went back inside his hole...

Pity. I was just thinking that the little guy would be great as a display.
