wattage related question

i am seeing wide variety of wattage usage in LED lighting system. e.g the Obit has this chart where they are showing an unit for 18-24inches with 72 leds but just 18watt ?
i was building a LED system for my 48 inches tank as two panels each with 36 leds 3 watt/led .. so 108Watt/panel. . is it over kill ?

That unit uses 0.25 watt LEDs. Not good enough for more light intensive coral.IMO.

That light is good for lighting the tank but nothing more.

You light seems more reasonable depending on the tank size
