Looks like it's dying/disintegrating. Personally, I've never had much luck keeping Condys long-term. This always happens for some reason. If it starts breaking apart, be sure to chuck it before it messes up your tank.

It will absorb any toxins the nem may release.

It is dying. You might want to pull it before it fouls up your water.

IMO you params are not perfect..Condies prefer colder water...up to 78deg if you want LiveAquaria's opinion although they say that about every nem. Anyway...temp is the reason I've never bought one (that and they won't host). Is your tank running a little hot right now with the summer season in full swing? Is anybody picking on it? Were you feeding it?

They don't tend to last that long in warm reef tanks...which is probably why they're cheap.

I've kept condys for over 4 yrs in 80* water...They can get very large, can change colors, and unfortunately decide to wander around and kill other corals.
They can host many different types of clowns.

Good to know on the temp... I've been in the hobby for a long time, but always on the east coast of the US where most condys we see are western atlantic (and more to the north). Hell I used to see them when I went diving off the coast of NJ. It's never 80deg. there for more than a few days (at depth).

Like I said in my post...I've never owned one because I've never seen anybody keep one alive for more than a year. As for hosting...it's rare...and again never seen it for my self. The fish are not from the same waters.

But I suppose just like with the goniopora there's always SOMEBODY out there that's had success.

What lights do you run? It is very bleached.

Condy's will host maroon clowns but thats about the only type.

You only gave water parameters for nitrate and phosphate what about the others?

Happens to me all of the time. I'm just getting better at looking at the date. In some cases the OP's are still members and do answer.
