Smile DIY LED Question

I was wondering how so many LED manufaturers are able to place so many diodes onto such small heatsinks yet DIY'ers are advised not to place them too close due to heat issues. I have a 6"x12" heatsink from Rapid that has 10 Neutral white chips already, and I was wanting to place 6RB, 6Bl, 2-410, 2-420 and 2-430UV for a total of 28. This is advised to be 10 too many for this sized heatsink. Is anybody else out there running 28 on a 6x12 heatsink?

DIY-ers tend to max out current so that the diodes run a lot hotter..
"brick" commercial LEd's are barely run over 500mA..many are at 350-ish..

To borrow a photo from another poster..

55-100V 500-520mA...

They also not worried that the LED's will start to die in a few years...

Thanks for your response. I've decided to go ahead now with the project. I did some math and combined shouldn't be much over 18,000ma. I'll add another fan also.
