Power head question

On a 48in tank what would work better 2 mp10's or 1 mp40

Generally 2 is better for wave action on opposing sides. It could be done with a single mp40 as well.
I'd go 2 mp10 myself for redundancy as well as opposing flow for waves.
I used a single mp40 on a 48x24 and the flow on one side was noticeably weaker.

For a 4' tank you will have best flow with 2 mp40's but it all depends on the corals you wanna keep.
