Brown algea in new tank
Hey all
So iv heard it can be normal this brown algea that's starting to cover my crushed coral and live rock. Should I worry about it now be for it gets too bad? |

Normal diatom stage. it will go away, eventually. Just a sign that your tank is coming to life.

How new of a tank? Looks normal to me on a new tank though, you will go through diff algae cycles before the tank stablizes. Just keep the nitrates and phosphates low and the alage wont last long. It will get ugly before it gets pretty.

Thanks guys. Now the tank is a couple weeks now.
And your right I do have high phosphates at the moment. Trying out some seachem phosguard at the moment. So no worries na. Couldn't hey the toothbrush out |
