Finaly trapped a trouble maker in my tank.

I finally trapped this Spanish Hogfish that has been causing some trouble in my tank. I have question though my LFS is now closed. Do any of you guys think he could stay in that box inside the tank until tomorrow morning and still be ok.

He ate all my hermit crabs started into my snails and ripped one of my zoa colony's to shreds.

I don't see why not. They make cross-country journeys in little bags. You might want to go lights out until tomorrow to help reduce stress.

So I was pulling him out of the tank this morning and somehow the door swung open and he went right back in. What do you think my chances are of him going inside again? I'm thinking slim to none.

IMHO the fish do not have good long-term memory. Sprinkle some food inside the trap and within a day or tow he'll go in there again. Other fish nibbling on the food inside will coax him in there even faster.
Good luck.

I caught him again. It took all day and involved me hiding while still keeping my eyes on the trap. The whole trap is coming out this time and right into a bucket.
