What the heck is this?

After almost 10 years of reef keeping I don't think I've ever been this stumped. I was looking at my tank with a flashlight and saw these critters swimming around. They're about a centimeter long, have no appendages, and are attracted to the light.

They look like a spiraling piece of rice almost, it's a reef with only cleaner shrimp and some hermits/ emeralds. No fish. I saw a few red, white, and blue colored individuals. Hopefully not a parasite.

My best guess is a larvae of some type but I have no idea. Thoughts?

If they are attracted to the light then use a white or clear plastic container and shine the light into the container and they should swim in. Catch em and identify them. I would like to know what they are.

Well, I caught one tonight but it somehow dissapeared between the net and the container. Possibly fell through the netting holes, so close up pics will have to wait. Any more ideas?

Sounds like something from star wars. Think I saw one in the bar scene.
