Osmosis line won't stick in float valve

My 1/4" osmosis tubing doesn't fit tightly in the float valve it just falls out any tips? Thanks!

Did you install the compression bushing (not sure what the correct name of the item is) on the line? There is a small beveled plastic piece about 1/4" long that goes on the end of the line and then slides into the valve. When you tighten the nut, it locks and seals everything in place.

ohh no wonder i must have lost that! i guess those things can't really be bought separately?

It's a ferrule, they are sold separately. You can likely find it at your hardware store near the John Guest fittings and freezer line fittings. They are also available online. You likely want a nylon ferrule but I'm not sure what your valve came with.
