Tunzee 9004 setup questions

I just set up my tunsee 9004 today, and I'm a bit confused on the set up. Everything is running perfect and quietly, but I'm not sure how to control the skim produced. It says to adjust the skimming with twisting the screw to block the air valve. If I have it turned any less than fully closed, it just overskims and overflows within a few minutes. If I have the screw turned fully closed, it doesn't produce enough skim to get to the top of the tube. Any suggestions on how to set the skim levels correctly?

When I used a 9004 I adjusted the height of the unit. If you raise it up, there should be less flowing though and a lower water level, so you can open the value to start skimming. It may take a few days to break in and to figure the best level and air flow.
