Flex hose question

My Eshopps sump came with flex hose, as shown here.

I assume, but thought I should ask, that I want to PVC cement it into the bulkhead fitting coming out of the fish tank correct? I don't just want to push it in and hope that friction holds it do I?

What do you do if you want to disassemble the tank for any reason, throw away the bulk head fitting and hose and start over?

I would cement PVC pipe to your bulkhead and then a union to that piece of pvc, then a short section of pvc to a gate valve to control flow, then a small section of PVC to another union, then flex hose to your sump.

This way you can take it apart if necessary for cleaning and maintenance

Unions and threaded bulkheads are your friends.

Cement the pvc & then clamp the hose.
