I really hate throwing out stuff that *could* come in handy some day. I imposed the same rule on my hobbies that I use for clothes - if it hasn't been used/worn/played in the last year, it goes in the bin unless I have a really good reason to keep it.

I've got 2 5g buckets and a 20g bin right now, living in an apartment def keeps my hoarding tendencies in check.

I have a 300 gallon DT. I have 3 five gallon buckets. I have 3 three gallon buckets. I have 3 forty five gallon brutes. One brute for RODI. One brute for salt water. And one brute for waste water from water changes. I have a 29'gallon QT tank and I have a 29 gallon tank for top off. I am contemplating a small QT for corals and a frag tank later on.

75 gallon - 7-8 gallons wc = 2 buckets
RO Water storage 4-5 buckets
Saltwater storage 6-8 buckets
Bucket to clean equipment
Bucket to throw wet stuff in
Bucket to sit on while working on the tank
Bucket to put on top of bucket while doing a water change
Bucket to collect waste water from RODI
Bucket drum circle as you wait for salt to mix

You really need at least 4 - unless you have a doggie door near your tank(s).
One for DT water water changes.
Once for QT water changes.
2 for TTM draining ( you DO use separate buckets/hoses for draining all tanks, right?)
Then there's the utility use stuff. I keep 6 myself, plus 4 5g totes, a 32g Brute for SW and 55g drum for RO/DI

Absolutely, never a thing as too many 5g buckets. Use them for everything!

Maybe a "water change door" for we that are canine challenged.

6 buckets, a 35 gallon brute, 3 5 gallon jugs, and 2 20 gallon roto-molds. Feel like I could still use more though.

Back when we had 4 dogs, the door was a necessity, not a luxury.
The door is located between the 100 and the 125.
Of course, just a drain line by the tanks would work as well.
Considering one since the 350 requires a long hose to reach the doggie door.
