T5 fixture: pacific sun or Ati

Hi,

Which t5 fixture do you prefer: diuna (pacific sun) or powermodule (Ati). It is for a future acropora tank (8 bulbs but Maybe I need 10 so in that case, only could be Ati..., but I would like know about your opinion in case finally I decide 8 tubes).

Or any other brand ..?

thanks!

For all t5 I would do ATI. For the hybrid I would do Pacific sun.

Interesting opinion...both fixtures you comment are t5 based cos led are for supporting in the hybrid one. Why this opinion? Have you experience with pacific sun? If yes, happy with it? Thanks!

There really isn't much room for improvenent with an all t5 ATI fixture. They're tried and true. As for the hybrid, I don't like ATI's led selection. Red leds are mostly useless and there's nothing special with the rest. Pacific Suns led layout is good enough to be used on its own. Adding the t5 is even better.

I'm a big fan of the Pacific Sun LED lamps, but have never seen a diuna in person. As previously said, ATI is tried and true for T5s, but Pacific Sun makes great quality fixtures. An added advantage of ATI Sunpowers is that Reefbrite strips bolt right on with no drilling or alteration. I'm not sure if that is important to you or not.

I have 8x54w dimmable ati now and love it but a ballast just went out on it and instead of replacing it I'm really looking into these pac sun Diana units. Any on here have one yet.

Yep, Ive got a 8x80w Diuna light. Works great, looks great, designed well, programming is super easy - I like that you can turn the tubes on in pairs. Measured PAR was about the same as my old Powermodule, its a top light you wont be disappointed.

ATI. American customer service > Polish customer service(Unless you're in Europe)

I replaced 3 Pac Sun lamps, 2 LED/T5 hybrids and 1 LED lamp with dimmable ATIs and couldn't be happier with the switch.

Yeah, good luck trying to buy a pac sun light. I'm pulling my hair out trying to find someone who carries these. Nobody stocks them, and the parent company won't give me any information on when or where I can get one. Guess I'm going with geisemann or Ati, unless someone can give me some info on where I can get one, like asap

DeepWater is actual Pacific Sun Distributor and they should be able give you detailed informations about shops which have our products on stock(your nearest LFS).

Regards

I thought it was the other way around?
ATI no longer comes in a 10 bulb config, do they? I know the PS does and this is why I will most likely get a Diuna(10x39W) for my new tank.
