open brain
question on corals
have this open brain for over 18 months now. was doing great went from 5 inch to over 10 inches. so almost doubled in size since i got it. i bought another open brain from petshop, it wasnt doing well but they sold it to me for 20 bucks. about 7 days after i put the second one in the tank i over dosed calcium for 3 days, basically used a gallon of brs in 3 days. a few days later my both open brains wont open. fast forward 4 weeks later. finally after many water changes all levels are back to before. i have since lost the 2nd brain and the old one still hasn't opened to its former glory what i dont understand is why if you say the calcium over dose, i will ask you why only my max clam died. not one of my 3 arco, my 4 monticap, and 6 hammer/torch or 2 scolymia. level currently alk 9.8 cal 460 |

No one knows why an otherwise healthy coral just starts looking like crap after 18 months in tank

I'm having that issue now where my clowns are bothering my trachy; pushing him around, putting sand on him, trying to sleep in him, etc. Did your clown ever leave yours alone? |
