LED light help Please
hello good people. I was wondering I have a 125g tank and it is 72" long
Can someone verify that the lights below would be OK to use http://current-usa.com/aquarium-led-.../orbit-marine/ The model is 4103 which is "48-60" it seems like i would be missing 6 inches on each side if i were to center but does that matter? Let me know thanks. |

Whats in the tank?
That light is not suitable for a coral reef tank.. Its only 46 watts.. Thats a fancy fish only light.. no matter what their marketing material says.. I ran 240W on my 120G 72"

LED light help Please
What are planning on keeping? What kind of corals? What features do you want (ramping, channel timers, dimmable, wifi)?
Lots options but if you are looking for budget friendly you can go 3 Mars Aqua, ever grow, ocean revive t247. I personally have the ocean revive and love them. They are a bit sleeker than the others. I can't speak about performance with respect to SPS, but my soft corals/LPS love them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you have a 12" tank, this fixture is OK for many kinds of coral. If you have an 18" deep tank this fixture is OK for zoos and softies. If you have a 24" deep tank this fixture is OK for fish.
Given the BS they put out on their website, I wouldn't trust them at all.

thanks. I wanted to keep some Zoas and Palys for the most part. I wanted the more Hardy type of Coral. So I guess this is not a good type of lighting. Can anyone recommend some LED lights? I don't need anything to fancy just something to get the job done.
My Tank Dimensions: 22"L x 72"W x 24"H. The only thing I can think of that I would like is the daytime/night time setting. You know where you can change the ambiance of the tank by changing the color to a nice blueish etc. Thanks for any help in advance. |

Look for MarsAqua fixtures on Ebay. They are under $90 each and 3 will cover your tank. With 4 you could keep most anything. They don't put out quite the PAR of ReefBreeders basic or OceanRevive T247, but they are inexpensive and they will do what you want.

I don't think the MarsAqua offers the ramping feature, does it? That is why I recommended the EverGrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And 3 of these puppies should fit my 72" wide tank correct? I am liking these lights.
One last question. I am a noob with lights. Will i have to control 3 separate devices or will they act as one. i think these may be what I go with. Price not to bad. |

I am not sure about daisy chain on these. I have 2 16" Ocean Revives on my 90 gallon - which are similar - and I get full coverage. So I assume so. Of course you could try and always add another but I think 3 will do the job based on your needs.

The ocean revives don't have the ramping, but do have 2 channels for whites and blues on separate timers. I run the blues from 9:30-9:30 and others from 12-5. The 2 units are mostly synced and timer is within 3 seconds of each other. A bit more expensive but a sleeker look.

Looks like you can sync multiple lights. Wifi enabled and you can sync the lights to your cell and therefore have them all go on and off at same time for all settlings/ channels. I am referring to the EverGrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

MikeyAl I wanted to thank you for the suggestion on the lights. I love these things. They are very bright. I am coming off of using fluorescent lights and it is so nice to be able to switch up the colors with ease I am so loving these things and 3 does give me full coverage. I don't know what to say but I finally got the blue-ish effect i wanted.
I would recommended these to anyone if you are on a budget and still want great lights I can't say enough about these lights. |
