What corals can touch each other?
I have heard corals in participating in "chemical warfare." Can my sps touch each other or do I need to trim them back from each other. Also the same with encrusting montis?

Someone pretty much always wins. Sometimes there is a standoff where neither coral advances further, but in most situations one coral will overgrow or sting its neighbor so it can continue to grow. Many reefers just let the corals settle things on their own, but corals with long stinging sweeper tentacles should be isolated from other corals.

Corals are just like people, some can live together in the same spot, some just get along, some don't like each other very much, some fight like cats and dogs and some can't stand to even live next door to each other in separate houses!
