SPS Coral strange behavior/die off regrowth

My rescue piece of sps had 2 branches that were looking healthy, and 3 that are dead, now one of my live branches is bleaching but the branch right next to it has grown like 2 times as much? Can anyone help me figure this out? I have never heard or seen this happen. Does anyone have any information for me to help figure this out?

May need a pic to see what you mean, type and placement and lighting info to help. I wouldn't know but thought you may be asked anyway.
