Stocking advice for 6 ft 220 sps
Hey all.
My tank has been up and running and cycled since mid April. I currently have a ring tail surgeon, a just turning emperor, a lawnmower blenny and a checkerboard wrasse. I also have a blond naso in my frag tank I'll be moving over. Tank is 72 X 30 w X 24 tall. All branch and shelf. All sps. In the next year or so I'll be building an 8 ft tank, so I'm not to worried about "too big" I'm looking for personal experience for some kind of stocking list. I'm likely to add some chromis and anthias and some pj's as well.

I like the "flowing" look with a bunch of smaller fish - damsels, gobies, blennies, smaller wrasses - behind a handful of bigger show specimens, which you already have.
Going with sand or no? |

you have plenty of options...maybe some reef-safe wrasses, another tang, maybe a bluethroat trigger. You may have a hard time introducing newcomers with the tang and emperor already established.

I have a shallow aragonite "reef flakes" bed maybe 1 1/2" deep.
I agree with the small fish. The emp is more concerned with filling his face than anything lol.

anthias are always a nice addition that usually school and are beautiful colors.

That's the plan !
I came home and my emp was dead. Freakin flukes. I'm going to dose the tank again with prazi, and begin to stock, a fish or 2 a month.

Quarantine before placing into the DT. It goes a long way.

Wrasses are always great. I have really come to enjoy our midas blenny. Our Tomini tang is a small guy but the hardest working fish in our tank so fun to watch as he is always hunting and pecking for algae.
