ATO placement in Innovative Marine Nuvo 40

I recently bought a Tunze osmilator ATO for my Innovative Marine Nuvo 40. My question is where to place the sensor/float switch and where to place the return hose. I hope someone familiar with the tank can help..the main pump return chamber is in the "sump" in the back of the tank..this compartment tends to run really low even when the main display looks full...do I have the sensor in the main display at a certain level or in the main return?...it seems if I manually fill either the water level stays the same but if I only fill the "display" the main return pump quadrant goes low..

Thanks for reading the long post and any help is appreciated...

I have that tank with the smart ATO, with the sensor on the corner and the return from the pump. I barely evaporate 2 gallons a week.

It needs to be in the return section of the rear sump. Meaning the portion where the return pump is. Only in that section will the water level change from evap.
