NUVO 30L Mods & Recommendations
I recently purchased an Innovative Marine Nuvo 30L that I plan to start setting up in a few weeks. Curious if anyone has this tank and, if so, whether there are any mods that I should do before setting it up. Also curious if people have suggestions on a replacement pump, a protein skimmer, and lighting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Im 30
switched over to this tank a few months ago from 75g inwall with sump. so far I like this little tank. I don't like maintaining my water level every day, so I would suggest an ATO be at the top of the list. I am using the Tunze 3155, I transferred from the 75g (never have had a problem with it). I got the ghost skimmer (mid size) for it, and that thing makes more noise than the skimmer and return pump on my 75g put together. I am currently looking into replacing that thing (although it does a good job of skimming, and is out of sight). I also got the all in one minimax media reactor, it runs well with carbon or biopelets, not so much GFO. The filter socks that came with it, IMO, were to thick or something, they needed to be rinsed out every other day. I replaced them with the custom caddy, and glad I did. they are rely easy to maintain and versatile. you could add any type of filtration media you like in each of its 3 chambers.

what are you guys using for a powerhead? With the 2 return nozzles and an additional powerhead it seems like there might be too much flow. Feedback is appreciated.

Hey guys just picked up a 30L myself, I see this thread is a few months old at this point but would love to hear how everyone is doing and what mods and or upgrades people have done to them. Setup pics much appreciated!
