AI Prime Recommendations for 20 gallon cube

I'm growing hair algae so my settings can't be good.

Tank has cycled with rock and sand; no fish or corals. Want to resolve this first. For 2 weeks I turned off the light and physically removed algae. Also added GFO in a reactor.

Turned the led back on and hair started growing again.

Whats the location of your tank? too much direct sunlight from a window, door or skylight can be problematic. Also what kind of rock did you put in ? Some rock needs to be cycled separately first before placing it in the tank. Are you following the 6-12'' guideline by the manufacturer?

Thanks for you reply.

No sunlight. Rock is the red reef rock. If I turn off the lights the algae goes away. Using the AI mount so I believe that's 9".

Did the rock come in a box or did you pull it from a tank while it was cycling?

Bought rock from LFS. It was dry. GHA is also in the sand bed which was also dry.

Sent a support request into AI this past Monday; have not heard back from them. I may sell the AI and switch to Kessil. Had better experience with Kessil products and support.

What are you running the white, green, and red at? I have a hydra 26hd and run those at 10-15% max for 5 hours.
