Plumbing help
Hi,
After the third leak in three months from my sump tank (2 split seams and a connection that decided to come completely apart in the middle of the night, i have decided to go for a cannister type filter and I want to still use the overflow and bulkheads so that I don't have pipes inside the tank. The tank has two holes in the overflow (35mm and 55mm) and I was wondering if anyone knew what connectors I would need to connect from the bottom of the bulkheads to the filter? The filter is a Fluval 306 and the box says the diameter of the pipe is 17mm, not sure if that is internal or external. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Chris |

You need a "barbed" fitting that fits into the ends of the tubing and then some adapters to attach to the bulkhead..
Not sure what stores you have but in the US a simple trip to the plumbing aisle of the Home Depot or Lowes would have everything you need..
