Black PVC
Its kinda a long story, but in a nut shell, I am trying to turn 2 1.5in bulkheads on the back of my tank into returns. I am looking for some black PVC fittings......1.5in bushing (reducer) to 3/4 thread. Looking to glue the slip into the bulkhead and thread loc-line into that, but don't want white for obvious reasons. If that just isn't gonna happen, is there a way to paint or dye the PVC black? Wouldn't mind having black fittings underneath as I am using red PVC to plumb sump.
Thanks for the help guys! Sorry to be difficult. |

One of 2 ways -
You can paint it with Krylon Fusion http://www.krylon.com/products/fusion-for-plastic/ or You can go with sch80 fittings and pipe which are a dark grey http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/pumps-...-fittings.html Tom G

I also bought color pvc from bulk reef supply. For the elbows I painted them grey with fusion paint with no problems. been over a year and still looks great. I did make sure not to get any paint on the inside of the elbows and let dry for 2 weeks.

So just to clarify, Im looking to put this fitting INSIDE the tank, so that it will be exposed to saltwater. The paint will be ok? I couldnt find the fitting that I needed on BRS.
