Moving to another tank, filter media?
I am moving to a new tank. I am mostly going to have dry rock in that tank with a few pieces of rock from my old tank. Any filter media that anyone suggest. This will be in a bag that my water flow through the sump will run through.

Use appropriate media if needed...
Some run carbon.. some run GFO but don't just add media if you really don't need it or aren't sure.. carbon isn't bad if you have softies just to attempt to remove any toxins when they get unhappy.. and media in a bag is not nearly as efficient as media in a reactor as the water is being "pushed" through it in a reactor vs just flowing over it in a bag..

Yeah i have a BRS dual reactor but i also have some spots for media. I normally always run carbon and my phos are zero so not going to run GFO anytime soon.
