Vertex PuraTek Delux 100 RoDi Issue

Hey guys, looking for some help.

I have the unit mentioned in the title. About 4 - 5 years old, great unit. I replaced the original membrane back in Feb 16. Within a couple months I was getting readings between 1 - 9 ppm on the onboard TDS meter. Swapping DI / carbon / pre filters trying to fix the issue. Unresolved issue went on for a while staying in that TDS range mentioned. Lately it has been 40 - 50 + on the meter and I've been trying to figure out what is up. I'm not super knowledgeable on Ro units.

I went to replace my membrane again thinking I got a faulty one back in Feb. or someone ran some hot water through it... put in the new one, was running waste and fresh water down the drain to flush the new membrane and TDS dropped to 0 (yay!!!)... I let this run over night, remained 0 ppm (yay!!!). I put the Ro/Di unit back into the system where it T's off, one to a 50 gal holding tank with an auto top off and another line to my sump. As soon as I did this (within seconds I believe) the TDS read 01 ppm (it had been 00 ppm for the past 10 hours or so. Once the tanks filled and the lines started building pressure, the TDS quickly crept back up to that 40 - 50+ ppm range. I'm able to get the TDS back down by taking out the membrane and reseating it and taking the Ro/Di unit out of the system and letting it run with no pressure / ATO valves, just running into a sink.

So my limited knowledge is telling assuming that something is up with the flow restrictor? Again, really not too familiar with troubleshooting these units.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
