Does anyone have a fishroom?
Exactly that
Does anyone have a fishroom or any place (for example you garage) to put the sump and machines? Pictures, just for taking ideas? Thanks |

what he said. Frag tank is in the fish room. Hard plumbed from the mixing barrel to both the DT and the Frag tanks.

The unfinished side of my basement is my fish room. The other side is my home office.
I don't have any photos of my 'fish room'. It is nothing compared to what some have built. |

Lol! Good eye. I had a un-used grinder lying around that I put cichlid food in. Set it to coarse. Used it when I had juveniles as the food was a bit big for them. 😃

These are from mid fish room build earlier this year. Looking at these tells me I am way overdue on taking pics!

Here's a video of the fish room as it stands today. As you can see, DT side is under construction.

Because of that I built the stand so it is stand alone yet right up against the drywall. If I ever need to I can skin the stand in oak and make it look nice while being a normal in room tank. It has been really relaxing to have. When taking a break from work instead of checking a forum, FB, etc I watch the fish. |

Have a breeding rack in the garage; 4 20L's into a 125G sump.

ATO, AWC, dosing equipment/products and apex modules are in the closet behind DT.
RODI, salt mixing station and miscellaneous equipment storage are set up in my laundry room. Test kits and food are in a night stand next to the DT. Sump, skimmer, skimmate collector and reactors are in the stand under DT. Works well for me. Michelle |

Very nice rooms. Mine is an unfinished space in my basement with 2 in-wall tanks, a 125 FOWLR and a 65 gallon that was a reef prior and in the process of setting up for seahorses.

I'd want like, the biggest tank possible, too. Haha. Any special gotchas/suggestions? Did you keep the tank away from the concrete walls or insulate it or anything? In my case, I'd want the fish room to also be the room that houses my air conditioner, hot water heater, all that fun, so it'd basically be a wall with a fish tank separating the utility room area. |
