Opposing Maxspect Gyre 130s
Users of Maxspect Gyre 130:
I just got my Maxspect Gyre 130s in for my 40 breeder. I am running two of them facing each other on a 40 breeder in pulse mode with 30 second intervals. This means one goes for 30 seconds then the other goes for 30 seconds. There is some overlap when they are both on, and a short period of time when neither is on (a few seconds for each of these). Any advice on how high I should set these? I had them on 100% at first, and I woke up to my poor yellow watchman goby trapped in his hole by a sand dune (he is fine now, although a little shaken). I have them ~60% right now, and it doesn't look like the sand is blowing too much (stray particles from time to time). Do you think this is enough flow for my SPS? It is hard for me to tell what the turnover rate is, and I am not sure if the power is linearly related to the GPH (if so, 60% would only be 1,350 GFP). Any thoughts from Gyre users? Any other configurations/settings to recommend? I really like the sand bottom and would prefer not to go bare bottom.

Ah, okay. Well, my little goby was struggling to swim against the current. I guess it might be okay to turn down a bit...hah.
Any other thoughts?
