Can anyone tell what this is?

I know the picture is awful but I couldn't get my iPhone to focus better and it moved a bit lol. Looking at the very bottom of the snail it's kind of hanging off the shell. I'll try to get another shot. I see them every once in a while but I don't know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Really hard to tell from that pic. A more of a close up pic would help. Does it move around or stay in one place?

Might be a amphipod but that's just a wild guess. Do you only see it when the lights are on or off? How long is the body? Does it crawl or slowly move (like a snail foot)?

I've only seen them at night usually when the lights are off in the tank. The body is maybe a few mm at most, it crawls looks like it has a few legs

I was also thinking amphipod as I was looking through the hitchhikers guide. (Maybe I'm just hoping they are lol) if that are, I just don't know where they came from lol.

It's an Isopod, the good kind. They eat up algae.
