There are plenty of lasers out there more than capable. If you're gonna try, Red (605nm) is the best as it gets hottest, other than IR which comes with more health concerns and being that you can't see it, it's near impossible to use.

If you're going to try it, at a bare minimum, you'll want a 200mW laser with a focusable lense. 500mW if it isn't focusable, which would be much easier to use also.

A few considerations:
There are usually enough that you can't easily see so completely ridding your tank of them with a laser isn't likely.
There is risk that a fish will swim in front of the laser and can be quickly blinded by it. It's difficult to see them coming while you're focusing on the laser target. Fish especially swim over when I'm looking at the tank too, so chances are pretty high this can happen.
There is risk of self injury, glass is reflective and that powerful of a laser can quickly damage your own vision, even indirectly (laser resistant glasses are available to match whatever wavelength laser you get, a worthwhile investment if owning one of these lasers).

I'd personally try other means first, like aptaisia eating filefish. I am already a laser enthusiast, so I already had plenty of capable lasers and safety equipment onhand. I wouldn't buy one purely for aptasia, but if you like lasers its' nice to have an actual reason to use one.

Good luck and be safe

I feel like there are probably safer, more natural methods than

Edit to provide useful info. I added a peppermint shrimp to my tank, demolished any aiptasia in there. Haven't seen a new one in months.

This is just the opinion of the guy who started the whole laser thing here at RC (seriously). And my 2 cents is, don't waste your money. The laser isn't cheap, most aiptasia grow back unless you really, Really kill it all. And you can't kill all the aiptasia in about 60% to 75% of the time.

Turn off pumps and use aiptasia -x or inject H2O2 with a real syringe.
