Guide me - What if a seller poses a used Chiller as a Brand-New one.

Hello
I am NEW to this hobby
Been acquainting myself with the saltwater version for the last eight years through readings, note makings, visualizing & analyzing, etc.
I have ordered for an aquarium chiller but I am anxious about one thing. Making out the difference between a brand new chiller and an used one is the most difficult thing for me who has never had a marine tank of any sort ever. I want to avoid a fraudulent seller posing a used chiller ( be it a week,a month,or a year old ) as being brand new.
So, how could I be able to differentiate ? I want to avoid being cheated. Please help me.
Kindly advice me on this.
Cheers. -Anupam.

Thank you. You are right. But, I am not sure what security measures Hailea implement in their packaging ? Do you know of any that I should keep in mind ?

Anyone else with some more tips and tricks ?
Anyone who has used a Hailea Chiller must be aware of the way the box looks with the chiller sealed in, could you chime in your experience please ?

Alright. Here is a little input from me regarding the way the box is sealed by Hailea. At first it seemed to me that the seal, which is done with 5mm wide & about 3" long copper strips, were tampered with. The reasons for my suspicion were - (1) I was over anxious that in turn got me over cautious, (2) the copper seals used for locking the top flaps of the box, that look like stapled pins, had small holes on either ends of each, making it seem as if a bigger copper pin had been pulled off to be substituted by smaller ones. In the meantime a lot of things can happen with the chiller that's inside the box. But, I came to realize that the suspecting holes were a result of the stapling process at the factory while packaging. Ahhhh.....what a relief.
Hope that helps a few of those going out to shop for a chiller for their tank with a mind set as me.
Cheers.
