Theiling rollermat gph
Hi I'm looking at plumbing a theiling rollermat straight in to my over flow pipe.
I have seen in the specs that flow should be between 200-600 gph I was thinking more like 880-1010 gph, does anyone run one at these levels or above? Thanks Tim |

It seems you could but you will go through more paper that way. The float valve will kick in rolling new paper. This all assumes double the flow does not overflow it with fresh paper.

Thanks for the reply, so I'm in a dilemma then, my system is 175 g and at 10x turn over it should be 1750 g do I just forget that and run it at 600 gph turnover, or rethink and just have the matt intake pipe in the overflow section but potentially not filtering all the water that passes through the sump. Why 10x turnover? My 240 runs at 600GPH through the sump. Eventually I will own the Theiling rollermat, but I will have to live with the filter socks for now.

I have a theiling rollermat on my 560. I put a dedicated pump and controlled the flow to around 500. Running another pump is not as useful as direct plumbing, but I have no other options. But I'm only using the rollermat as an extra filtration, after the filter socks chamber
