I thought it was. Came as a hitchhiker when I got the gsp. Should I just pluck it off before it multiplies

Yes you can cull it or annoy it by poking it.

Many other methods to kill it as it can become serious. Acid in the mouth. Electrocute. Burn.

I wouldn't poke him much, it will shoot out its spores to start spreading. With caution people will shoot white vinegar, or kalk paste right in the mouth. Aiptasia X and Joe's juice are great but more expensive. Finally you could use boiling fresh water or a high powered laser.

If you can take the coral out then treat the aiptasia outside the tank otherwise messing with them in tank will quickly multiply them.
As gsp are cheap and fast growing I would cut around the aiptasia and throw that part away.

Dont poke it or try to scrape it off the rock. You will only result in making it multiply because if you leave even a small piece of it, it will grow and divide more. Easiest and most effective way to kill it is with kalkwasser paste
Just mix enough water in some kalkwasser to make a thick paste. Then apply the paste heavily and cover the aipstasia 100%. Let sit for 30 min and then your pretty much done. Can be done in the tank if you turn off all the pumps for the 30 min. Can be done out of the tank easy enough too. If you do in the tank, be sure the kalk doesnt get on any corals of anything when you turn pumps back on, and then your good.

+1 to boiling fresh water. Easy, effective, and most important free.

Use a turkey baster to do it.

+ to everything said above, I just used Aiptasia X today, although I heard lasers and kalk paste work just as well. First time hearing about the boiling water though, interesting

Also heard of people just covering them with coral/super glue.
