Skimmer vs. Chaeto in 10g Nano

Hey everyone,

I currently have a IM Nuvo 10g Nano set up and running. I currently have an InTank media basket in the first chamber running filter floss and Chemipure Blue, and my 2nd chamber is empty.

I am thinking of either getting the IM Ghost Skimmer (the only one that will fit) which I have heard mixed reviews on, or getting an InTank Fuge basket and running a ball of chaeto.

My questions is, since the 2nd chamber isn't that big, would the amount of chaeto that I could keep even impact the nutrients? From what I understand, tanks need a significant amount of chaeto to make a difference, and there just isn't a lot of room...

If possible, I want to stay away from the Ghost skimmer due to the noise & microbubble complaints that are all over the reviews...

Thoughts?

I wouldn't bother with either on a tank that size in the tiny space that you have. Just use chemical media and keep up on your water changes.

I have never ran that small of an aquarium, but in my experience I would use a skimmer or plan to do frequent water changes.

I would be interested in others input on this as well. I have an ehiem media filter with carbon and am looking at chaeto as a form of biofloss....

I had a 30l tank for a while using a hang on back filter. Cut the original filter sponges in half and filled the space with purigen and matrix. Also used a square of filter floss in each cartridge at the top which made the water look invisible. I changed 4l of water every few days and everything kept stable
