CF with MH Lighting

I'm thinking about setting up a 4 foot wide tank (55g or 75g).

I have all kinds of lighting, including T5, CF and MH.
The CF are 65W and 2 feet long.
The T5 are 55W and the fixture is 2 feet long.
The MH is 175W wih a polished aluminum reflector.

I'm thinking about using the CF on the left half or the tank, and the MH on the right side. My idea is to grow lower light corals (LPS and zoas) under the CF's and SPS under the MH.

With (2) 65W CF's and a 175W MH, I'd have just a bit over 300 watts. I realize PAR is the new standard of measuring light, but I'm kinda old school and I still think the old rule of thumb of watts per gallon is an adequate means of getting an idea of how much light a particular reef needs.

Has anyone done this? Got a tank shot?

Opinions on the setup?
