What do we think about this new all-in-one startup?
These new BIOTA tanks seem kind of cool:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuTW7F2tzzU Seems like a smart idea for a start-up. Take the guesswork out. Your kids want some "nemos"? Here you go! |

The AIO tank market is growing rapidly, and yes they are very simple to set up. The one in the video looks very similar to the Fluval 13.5.
I have an IM Nuvo 10g due to my time constraints and my current housing situation I don't have time or space to set up anything larger, but an AIO is a perfect solution for me.

After looking at their website, it actually is the fluval tank... I guess they are just selling the package of being a complete system with sand, rock, etc. which is pretty cool.

Sounds like someone is using an idea I had awhile ago.. I figured if I ever opened a fish store I'd sell complete packages like that. where they wouldn't need to buy anything extra.. I'd even provide water and water for water changes and top off water. (for a fee)..
setup your aio tank then add live sand/rock and water i provide.. then add the fish/corals.

This idea and business model, if it actually operates as advertised, is total win.
I'm not a big climate change fanatic, but I do believe in being a good custodian to the earth, since it is our home and all. Everything in that video I liked.

I love the idea of making it an easy process to set up the tank, but I also worry about people not understanding the maintenance aspect of it after they set it up. The advertisement comes across to me as a "set it and forget it" type of thing and we all know that just isn't the case.
Other than that, it seems like a great way to get people interested in the hobby without making it complicated! |

I spent some time reviewing the videos and instructions. I hope they will 'help' their customers by expanding the advice they offer on the site. |
