Question about sump

Hi everyone. I have owned tanks in the past but they were freshwater. I am new to the saltwater tank hobby. I have a question about changing out a sump. I just picked up a euro reef protein skimmer for my 65 gallon tank. And when I went to put it in my sump it is just a little too big to fit. I have found a bigger sump that I am thinking about buying that will be able to fit the skimmer. The tank was given to us about 5 months ago and was already established. We have been doing the water changes that we need to do and ammonia and nitrites are perfect. The nitrates are high along with the phosphate. I am trying to get the tank ready and all of my parameters within check so that I can start running corals.

My question is if I was to buy the sump that will fit my skimmer and took everything out of my old sump would I have another cycle?

We have a 29 bio set up and have corals going well in there so I was thinking that I am ready for the bigger tank.

Thank you in advance for all of you help

Edit original post. If I tank all of my old stuff out and use it in the "new" sump would I have a cycle again?

If you are moving everything over from your old sump to a new sump you should not see any cycle.
