Manual timer on ai prime hd

Just installed an Ai prime HD, this is my first led. I was thinking of running a manual timer outside the program on the led just in case it failed in on position. Would this make sense? Would this foul up the wifi programming?

I have AI Primes too and I don't think you'll need an extra manual timer. There is the possibility that the fixture will have a problem reconnecting to wifi everytime the manual timer comes back on. Then again mine are pretty good about reconnecting themselves after a power outage. I just really don't think you'll need a timer for that purpose IMO.

Do you run a second alarm clock to get you up in the morning... just in case the first one fails to go off?
