SC Tanks and Sumps Should I?

I am in the market for a reef/fish tank. I'm looking to get a 50-60 gallon cube. I looked into many tanks but I hear that the SC tanks are nice. My question is, are the tanks good and what about their sumps and skimmer? I don't want to buy one and have to replace the pump and skimmer. Does anyone have experience with their equipment? - If a get the tank should I upgrade their electronics?

Thanks

There is a SC aquarium owners thread here on RC: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...450598&page=54

I have a 90 Gal cube and couldn't be more happy with it! CS is great as Steve is second to none on getting back with you and keeping in contact.

Here is a pic. There are more on my build thread(See Signature Below) as well as many on the Owners thread.

I have their 80G PNP system. Tank is absolutely gorgeous.

Sump I cut apart and redid the baffles to fit my needs, it was all cut up into a weird layout. The return pump is garbage. It works, just loud and large. Skimmer works very well and there is a thread here devoted to their skimmer and how great it is.

Have a look at my build thread on how I setup their stuff.

My 2 cents...
I got there 90 tank only and did a DIY. stand and sump from a 40br.
But there new all wood stand look amazing. tanks are top notch. HEAVY but nice.

I would do a custom so you can do external plumbing. The center over flows do the up a lot of aqucascaping space.

Go through the sc. Owners thread I think your questions be answered + you can see some nice reefs!
Cheers

Be sure you purchase the tank direct from SCA I worked with a reseller at one point and it was a very bad experience as I sent the money but never received anything in return. SC actually helped me resolve the issue with the credit card company as they had had issues with this dealer in the past and unbeknownst to me had terminated dealings with them prior to my purchase.
