Dastaco or Pacific Sun Calcfeeder Pro Reactors
Since going from a 120g to 260g the demand for alk/calc/mag has increased substantially. I also switched from Red Sea Pro to Tropic Marin regular salt so I'm not getting that heavy alk from the Pro. It's finally time for a calcium reactor. I've done some research and I like the approach both Dastaco and Pacific Sun are taking with their reactors.
Pacific Sun has a sweet pre-order deal right now, I can get everything but the reg and media for about $1100, including shipping. Add in a good reg and it's about $1450. Dastaco includes a reg, but no media for $1925. Shipping may be extra, checking on that now. So I'd be paying about $500 more for the Dastaco. The Pacific Sun is a brand new model. I don't think they've made calc reactors before and it has some new tech using LEDs to monitor CO2 levels. Similar concept to the Dastaco. It's just a new product so somewhat unproven at this point. Dastaco gets nothing but rave reviews. If anyone has opinions either way I'd appreciate the feedback, especially if you've purchased products from either of these companies before.

Very few people have the PacSun unit, so you'll have to wait. I preordered and still don't have mine.
