My Weekend

Id figured id share my little story.

Just recently moved to a new place and took my 150 gallon with me but didnt want to deal with the hassle of transporting my fish and keeping them alive and what not so i sold them to a friend next i bought a new canopy for my tank couldnt get it the same color as the stand so had to paint the stand black unfortunately days before i planned to paint my stand and cut holes in the canopy for my lights my brothers 300 gallon sprung a leak and water went EVERYWHERE so he got a but upset and wants to sell the tank and take a break from big tanks till he moves. so we had to do something about his fish, my tank wasnt the best since it was still cycling a bit only had it running for 2 weeks but we had no where else to go we pawned off 4 square back anthias and a yellow tang to his uncle but i was left to take the rest. he refused to give them to the petstore cause hes angry those people killed an arowana he brought in back when he was still doing freshwater.

my tank only had 6 chromis but after last weekend my stock is now
11 chromis
2 maroon clowns
1 sailfin tang
1 regal tang
1 powder blue tang
1 kole tang
4 fighting conches and maybe a dozen snails

so to help combat this huge bioload i filled my sump as much as i could with his live rock, also am using my 150 int reef octopus skimmer and his reef octopus skimmer (i think it ws rated for a 250) and before the fish went into the tank i did a 33 gallon water change and plan on doing another one either today or at least this weekend depending how the schedule works.

I think you will be fine. LR holds a lot of bacteria. I would try to find a store that sells fritz turbo start. That's stuff works wonders. I would waste money on anything else but that product. It's the only I have found to have real live bacteria. Just be careful opening bottle as it smells like sewage.
