Lunar lights, beneficial, or cool old fad?
I am curious to know if lunar lights effect any of the nocturnal habits of the livestock in our tanks, or was a cool fad that never had much validity to it?

IMO they deff arn't necessary but are neat to have to look at the tank after lights out, if you do get them you only wanna leave them on a couple hours after the rest of the lights go out. also be careful as some companies that sell lunar lights have them very brite, not sure the reason for this.
IMO though if you wanna look at the tank after the lights out I would use a flashlight with a red lens.

I agree. Useless for the corals. OK if it's for you to see in the tank at night.

and they are absurdly bright. I ended up putting black tape over 2.5 of the led's to get a subtle glow in the tank, which is all I was after.
