question on anemones status

Hi RC
It's a givin that I know nothing about an anemone .
How would you say these fair please? What needs to happen?

How long have they been in your tank? What is your lighting setup? Tank parameters?

They both look healthy enough... as well as that can be determined by a single photo. The first one doesn't look very happy, but that could be a wide range of issues. You need to provide a LOT more information. Including pics with white light.

Anemones can be very erratic in behavior. They open and close for reasons that may not be apparent at all. It's not an animal you want to rush making any decisions about. They are one of the 'take your time' and let them do their thing critters, IMHO.

I have a RTBA that is 8-10 inches across including tentacles and has a 5 inch tall translucent white body when fully inflated. When he deflates to poop, about once a day it seems, his body shrinks to a quarter inch tall and his tentacles look like thin strings and he only spans about 1-2 inches! Quite incredible to see. First time he deflated freaked me out to say the least.

I'll try to get a better shot. The difference between a blue and white shot is open or closed.
