Jebao Battery Back Up with Apex

Ok Apex Gurus I have a question for you all today. I recently purchased an apex and of course now I am overcome with a desire to buy more apex accessories. I am currently using one Jebao RW 15 and one Jebao RW 20 for circulation on my reef tank, with the RW 15 on a coral box battery backup in case of power outages. I am now interested on purchasing a Jebao Apex Controller Adapter to allow me to have better control over my pumps. My question is, How do I implement my battery backup after connecting my pumps to the apex, since the battery backup now connects to the RW 15 controller which would be removed after the Jebao Apex Controller is installed? I was hoping I could connect the battery backup to the apex base unit to keep the apex running during the power outage as well as the RW 15. Thoughts?

Maybe this is a question for the DIY forum? Which APEX do you have?

I have a standard APEX, now APEX classic I think I now have a better understanding of how the jebao module works but I still think it would be nice to run the apex off of the same battery backup.

Doesn't the standard apex have a 12vdc in?

Correct. This is why I thought I could use the one battery back up to power both the apex as well as one of the jebaos.

12vdc is 12vdc. But you may want to add some protection between the apex and the jebao to prevent any noise generated from the jebao getting to the apex. You don't want a spike from the Jebao smoking your Apex. But the same is true for any pump.
